First 2012 In-Person Registration Event : Register for 2012 at Burnhamthorpe Community Centre on Sat., Feb. 25, 2012 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
Umpires: : The FGBA continues to support its umpires by subsidizing the costs of participating in qualifying Umpires' Clinics.

History : The Forest Glen Baseball Association has been operating for 44 years.  
Pee Wee/Bantam Select Tournament : The FGBA will host its annual Pee Wee/Bantam Select Tournament on the weekend of June 1 to 3, 2012.

Stan Klas

In the fall of 2010, Stan stepped down as President of the Forest Glen Baseball Association ("FGBA"), after many years in that position, in order to take on the role of President of the Mississauga Baseball Association ("MBA"). However, he still plays an active role on FGBA's Executive. Among his ongoing duties, he continues to serve as liaison with Mississauga Recreation and Parks with respect to the upkeep of the various diamonds used by the FGBA and he is still coaching at both the Pee Wee Select and Midget Select levels.

Ron Smith

Ron has overall responsibility for the delivery of the FGBA's program for boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 21.  Ron is also one of four representatives of the FGBA on the Council of the MBA.

Steve Wemyss

Steve is responsible for co-ordinating the FGBA program for the Levels involved in the MBA. These Levels include Tyke through Junior at both the 'A' and 'AA' Levels. Steve is a key contact for coaches and players involved at these Levels, oversees the team drafts and ensures that coaches are in place.

Lane Steinhauer

Lane is responsible for co-ordinating the FGBA program for the House League Levels. These Levels include BlastBall through Rookie Ball, Tyke 'A' and Pee Wee 'A'. Lane is a key contact for coaches and players involved at these Levels, oversees the team drafts and ensures that coaches are in place.

Liz Katanik

Liz oversees player registration for the FGBA. This includes management of FGBA's Registration Management System, organization of the In-Person Player Registration Events, and maintenance and safekeeping of FGBA's player registration records, including the registration data base. Liz also co-ordinates information regarding individual team rosters and provides all necessary registration information to the MBA on behalf of FGBA.

John Binder

John is responsible for the procurement and distribution of uniforms, team equipment and field equipment, and for the repair and maintainance of all of FGBA's team and field equipment. He is also one of four representatives of the FGBA on the Council of the MBA.

Al Horbatiuk

Al maintains records of funds received and disbursed throughout the season and maintains the financial records on behalf of FGBA. Al also prepares the annual financial statements for the FGBA.

Sharon Kirby

Secretary

Sharon attends to the non-financial business records of the FGBA, including preparation of the minutes of Executive meetings, the tracking and disposition of all correspondence, and the arrangement of meeting facilities.

Lorraine Katanik

Lorraine is committed to ensuring that all of the special events hosted by FGBA, such as the Tournament Concessions, the Field Days and the Team Photo day, are effectively executed.  She also assists in arranging for the creation and distribution of the FGBA's promotional materials, in organizing and participating in special registration events and in securing gym space from the local school boards for winter training.

Stephen Katanik

Steve arranges for the delivery of training clinics for coaches and players at all levels. In this capacity he will, by appointment, attend team practices to work with the coaches to improve the skills of our players. Steve is also one of four representatives of the FGBA on the Council of the MBA.

Chris Straub

Chris is responsible for selecting, training, assigning, supervising and evaluating FGBA's umpires at all levels, both for regular season play and special events (such as MBA play-off games hosted by the FGBA and SOBA-sanctioned tournaments organized by the FGBA).  Chris is also one of four representatives of the FGBA on the Council of the MBA.
