| What
is the MBA? |
|
The
MBA ("Mississauga Baseball Association") is the governing
body that oversees all minor league baseball in the City of Mississauga.
The MBA has established a constitution under which all Mississauga
Baseball is governed. Several different organizations, including
Forest Glen operate independently and in partnership with the MBA.
The MBA provides an opportunity for inter-league baseball to be
played for 10 to 21 year olds.
|
| When
does the season start? |
|
Typically
the House League Season (BlastBall, Senior T-Ball, and Rookie Ball
) starts the 3rd week of May with the MBA levels starting a week
earlier.
|
| Are
there Evaluations? |
|
Drafting
teams of equal ability has always been the Forest Glen way of trying
to make the season fun for players, coaches, parents and fans.
This is only possible when we can evaluate each player's skill level
and attempt to distribute the "talent" equally.
Evaluations are held at Fleetwood Park on the first weekend
of April. Some time soon after this day, coaches are assigned
and teams picked. Please note that evaluations are not
"tryouts" -- all children are evaluated and assigned to
a team.
