2010 FGBA Executive

Stan
Klas
President
Stan has overall responsibility for the delivery of the Forest
Glen Baseball Association's ("FGBA") program for boys
and girls between the ages of 4 and 21. Stan is also a representative
of the FGBA on the Council of the Mississauga Baseball Association
("MBA") and serves as the Third Vice-President (Overall
Series Convenor) of the MBA. Stan serves as liaison with
Mississauga Parks and Recreation with respect to the upkeep of
the various diamonds used by the FGBA.

Straub
Vice-President
- Baseball Operations
Chris is responsible for co-ordinating the FGBA program for the
Levels involved in the MBA. This includes Tyke through Junior
at both the 'A' and 'AA' Levels. Chris is a key contact for
coaches and players involved at these Levels, oversees the team
drafts and ensures that coaches are in place. Chris is also
a representative of the FGBA on the Council of the MBA.

Ron
Smith
Vice-President - Registrar
Ron oversees player registration for the FGBA. This includes
management of FGBA's Online Registration System, organization
of the person-to-person player registration events, and maintenance
and safekeeping of FGBA's player registration records, including
the registration data base. Ron also co-ordinates information
regarding individual team rosters and provides all necessary registration
information to the MBA on behalf of FGBA. Ron is also a
representative of the FGBA on the Council of the MBA, and serves
as FGBA's Tournament Convenor.

Vice-President - Sponsorship
The Vice-President
- Sponsorship manages FGBA's sponsorship program. He or she
oversees the conduct of all efforts to interest local businesses
in sponsoring FGBA programs, acts as liaison between sponsors and
the FGBA, and generally endeavours to ensure that sponsors enjoy
the full benefits of sponsorship.

John Binder
Vice-President - Uniforms and Equipment
John is
responsible for the procurement and distribution uniforms, team
equipment and field equipment, and for the repair and maintainance
of all of FGBA's team and field equipment. He is also responsible
for liaising with Mississauga Parks and Recreation with respect
to the upkeep of the various diamonds used by the FGBA. |

Horbatiuk
Treasurer
Al maintains records of funds received and disbursed throughout
the season and maintains the financial records on behalf of FGBA.
Al also prepares the annual financial statements for the FGBA.

Sharon
Kirby
Secretary
Sharon maintains records on behalf of the FGBA including the taking
of minutes at meetings, tracking and responding to correspondence,
and arranging for meeting facilities.

Lorraine
Katanik
Director -- Fundrasing and Communications
Lorraine keeps the players and parents of FGBA informed of what
we’ve accomplished and dates, times, and locations we should
mark on our calendars, by preparing and distributing newsletters.
The team parent program is coordinated by Lorraine ensuring that
each team has a key contact for information. She is committed
to ensuring that all the special events hosted by FGBA are effectively
executed, planning social outings like the Day at the Blue Jays,
and skills development opportunities such as the coaching clinics.
Another key responsibility for Lorraine is organizing fundraising
efforts such as the lottery draw, reminding everyone of the upcoming
draw date and collecting tickets, and arranging raffles at the
field days, obtaining prizes and ensuring tickets are available
throughout the events. Lorraine is a key contributor in
the delivery of food and excitement at the field days as well.

Katanik
Director -- Coach and Player Development
Steve arranges for the delivery of training clinics for coaches
and players at all levels. In this capacity he will, by
appointment, attend team practices to work with the coaches to
improve the skills of our players. Steve is also a representative
of the FGBA on the Council of the MBA.

Straub
Umpire-in-Chief
Chris is responsible for selecting, training, assigning, supervising
and evaluating FGBA's umpires at all levels, both for regular
season play and special events (such as MBA play-off games hosted
by the FGBA and SOBA-sanctioned tournaments organized by the FGBA).
